She served
as a speaker at the Society for
Technical Communication Region 5
Conference in Houston. Her workshop,
The Newly-Promoted Team Leader: Shifting
Your Focus from Products to People
apparently met the needs of many
participants. She is amazed at the
enthusiastic response she continues to
receive. As a trainer, Robin wants to
continue to deliver practical and
encouraging coaching to her fellow
learners.
Prior to writing fiction, Robin Jackson
wrote professionally for 11 years in the
corporate arena. Combining a great
writing talent with skills in business
and people management, Jackson has
created value for such companies as
Renaissance Healthcare, Lotus, Compaq,
cnbc.com, Hewlett Packard,
wallstreetcity.com, and Halliburton.
Not only a talented performer, Robin has
a remarkable track record of overcoming
adversity.
Less than a month after receiving a
perfect score on her performance review,
Robin was sidelined by a disabling
spinal injury in early 2001. After
completing physical rehabilitation, and
returning to work, Robin's employer
implemented several reductions in force.
Jackson was offered the option to
convert to vendor status to avoid a
layoff. She took it.
Because of a
relationship with Jesus that can only be
called transformational, Jackson chose
to rebuild her career and personal life.
Six months after her injury, Jackson
started Lighthouse Productions Inc. and
began writing novels, short fiction,
magazine articles, and inspirational
non-fiction. Robin is currently focusing
her time and talent on a contemporary
novel, and three
works of inspirational non-fiction
The Emerging Cookbook,
Emerging: Our Triumph Over Obesity
and If You’re Out of Hope I’ll Lend
You Mine: God's Mercy to Me in
Disability. In addition to her creative
writing, Mrs. Jackson continues to write
documentation, marketing and training
deliverables for her corporate clients.
Robin Jackson is beloved by her readers
and audience for her candor and earthy
humor. Robin tells it like it is—in ways
many Christians only muttered to
themselves or didn’t dare to articulate.
Readers are encouraged by Robin’s warm
and compassionate voice and generous
helpings of laughter. By giving voice to
the reality of suffering and the promise
of mercy, readers hear their own
thoughts reflected in a voice they
instantly recognize as their own.
